3 Minimally Invasive Ways to Transform Your Smile

Do you have flaws in your smile that bother you when you look in the mirror? From staining to chips, you may wonder what you can do to get your dream grin. Thankfully, your dentist is here to help, but will it be a long, invasive process? Many cosmetic treatments are relatively short and give you dramatic results. Here are three quick options you can consider for an aesthetic set of teeth.

1.)  Professional Whitening

As you get older, your smile may look duller than it did in the past. Aging, diet, and smoking are some factors that cause stains, but you can get them brightened with professional whitening. Unlike store-bought products, this treatment uses high-quality bleaching gel that targets discoloration on and within your enamel.

Your dentist will give you a customized take-home kit, which you’ll wear for a specific amount of time for about two weeks. In the end, you can enjoy results that are up to an eight-shade difference.

2.)  Cosmetic Bonding

You might have a chip or two from biting into hard foods or a facial blow. The good news is you can get this damaged filled in with cosmetic bonding. Using tooth-colored composite resin, your provider will sculpt it against the flaw that’s bothering you to fix it. It can even be used for stubborn stains, but this process takes about an hour (per tooth) to get your results. That way, you can get the restored smile you want quickly.

3.)  Invisalign

Compared to the first two treatments above, Invisalign does take longer. Generally, people can expect to undergo it for 12 to 18 months, but this type of orthodontics is much more convenient than traditional braces. You’ll simply wear clear aligners for 22 hours every day, and they will slowly shift your smile into a healthier alignment. These trays are also removable, so you can stick to your normal diet.

Cosmetic dentistry is a great way to get to an aesthetic smile you love, and many of these services are minimally invasive. They are often quick and easy, so you can feel comfortable and confident getting to your grin goals.
